Rouffach and the surrounding area

The town of Rouffach (5000 inhabitants, chief place of canton) is located in plain, but leans against the “Vosgienne” hill which carries a vineyard reputed by the grand cru Vorbourg. It is located on the wine route at 18 km from Colmar, 30 from Mulhouse and 90 from Strasbourg.

This small town has a very beautiful historic center, with the church “Notre Dame de l’Assomption” (yellow sandstone mixing Romanesque and Gothic), the old town hall, the old market hall (XVIth), the witch tower (last tower of Rouffach), the church of the Récollets (XIIIth century), as well as beautiful old and half-timbered houses.

The town is served by the Colmar / Mulhouse expressway and 9km from the A35 as well as by a train station to the east of the town.
